GORDON
EAGLEVILLE, PA

GORDON:
My name is Gordon.

TEXT ONSCREEN:
Gordon, real patient taking TRELEGY at time of filming. Compensated by GSK for sharing his experience. Results may vary.

GORDON:
And I was diagnosed with COPD in the year 2013.

GORDON:
Joyce, good to see you all.

GORDON:
Being a deacon, it gives me a sense of satisfaction that I am able to share the light.

GORDON:
Have you ever experienced the unknown and felt that your life was about to change?

GORDON:
I was shoveling snow from my driveway. I found myself extremely out of breath. Something was wrong with my lungs—I couldn’t breathe, couldn’t get air.

GORDON:
All I could do was sit there. The unknown is really rough to handle.

GORDON:
My doctor called to make me an appointment with the pulmonologist. He diagnosed me with COPD that day.

GORDON:
The choices that we make. The consequences that we have to live. A little about how I got here.

GORDON:
I started cutting hair at a very early age. In those days, you could smoke in your shop, just, not knowing.

GORDON:
The irritants, the disinfects, holding spray, breathing all of that in.

GORDON:
I would cut hair from nine in the morning to nine at night.

GORDON:
My wife and I, we have a very active life. In the hair business, you talk about a lot of things. I had never talked to anyone who told me about COPD.

GORDON:
I learned that I had to move at a slower pace. Even with the oxygen, I was wiped out by two or three-o-clock in the afternoon.

GORDON:
I didn’t make plans. I didn’t know if I would be sick.

GORDON:
I tried several medications. I didn’t feel as though I was getting the support that I needed.

TEXT ONSCREEN:
Use one dose of TRELEGY at the same time every day. TRELEGY won’t replace a rescue inhaler. Results may vary.

GORDON:
My doctor introduced TRELEGY. We did the research on it and thought it would be a good option for me.

GORDON:
Hey, fellas! Vance! How are you? Reggie!

GORDON:
After we decided that I would try it, I really felt that TRELEGY was working for me.

TEXT ONSCREEN:
Results may vary.

GORDON:
I breathe better, I, I do more, and most importantly, it combats flare-ups.

GORDON:
COPD did not stop me from cutting hair. I’m able to get involved in life again.

TEXT ONSCREEN:

GORDON:
I was cutting Reggie’s hair when we wore curls, do you remember (laughs)? The Superfly hairstyles (laughs).

GORDON:
I didn’t run and hide with COPD. I learned to stay in charge and turn the pages on life.

GORDON:
Good afternoon! Good afternoon, fellas!

GORDON:
I started something new with COPD. I volunteer in a mentoring program, where we teach etiquette.

GORDON:
Did you all iron your shirts? That’s great.

TEXT ONSCREEN:
Results may vary.

GORDON:
Taking TRELEGY has helped me with my breathing through a longer day. Now, I’m a plan maker (laughs). I make plans.

TEXT ONSCREEN:
TRELEGY won’t replace a rescue inhaler.

GORDON:
Even the days that my breathing is a little rough sometimes, I have good days and bad days. But I still push through.

GORDON:
I hope that I’ve shared a message with you that you can carry with you, a neighbor, a relative, to encourage them. There are things that you can do. Take charge.
